Whenever I close my MacBook, I get kicked off of the internet (and AIM.) Is there anyway to stop this from happening?
Adjusting the Energy Saver options in Logic Preferences does not work, and niether did that Sleepless program.

Leave your MacBook open. Is this obvious?
Maybe you must be getting the IM thing working on your Cellphone instead. YIKES!
Excellent luck and Pleased Computing!

There’s no way, once you cloe the lid, it disconnects internet connection, you can leave it as it is with the lid open. If you want to refrain access to other people, try putting a screen saver password, so that people dont have access to your pc.
